While political transitions are underway across much of the Arab world, the struggle to find a decent job has not gotten any easier.
Large segments of the population continue to face a range of social and economic obstacles. These obstacles have contributed to the world?s highest rate of youth unemployment and the fewest women in the labor force. Overcoming them is one the region?s greatest challenges.
To address the ?what,? ?why,? and ?how? of jobs in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), the World Bank will host a live online Q&A with Steen Lau Jorgensen, Director of MENA Human Development. Steen invites you to a conversation on what you think is the most important aspect of the jobs situation in MENA, why is it so difficult, and how can more jobs be created for the many rather than the few.
