Utilizes advanced technology to safeguard the smartphone against drops, dust, dirt and water while maintaining screen sensitivity and sound clarity
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--It's the epitome of ultimate protection for the Samsung Galaxy S III; the OBEX case by Seidio. Seidio, a leading manufacturer of premium mobile technology accessories, is pleased to announce that this waterproof, shock-absorbing case will hit the market in October.?The OBEX is a game-changer in smartphone protection??The OBEX is a game-changer in smartphone protection,? says David Chang, CEO of Seidio. ?We carefully designed this case with the best materials available in order to ensure the [Galaxy] S III would be protected against even the harshest conditions without losing the phone's functionality. After rigorous testing, we are confident the OBEX lives up to its name in every way.?
The OBEX, Latin for ?barrier,? absorbs shock because of its combination of Polycarbonate and Thermoplastic Polyurethane materials that come in a two-piece structure. This ideal design protects the Galaxy S III from rough, daily use and drops from extreme heights. OBEX has far exceeded the requirements set forth by the MIL-STD-810G test which evaluates the case from 6-foot drops at multiple angles.
Seidio's latest creation also protects the Galaxy S III from outside elements including water, snow, mud, dust, sand and more. It seals the smartphone at critical points of entry blocking out any unwanted particles or liquids. The OBEX met the IP68 criterion which demonstrates it is protected against complete submersion for 30 minutes in 1 meter deep water. Waterproof membranes guarantees external matter will not be able to penetrate the phone's speakers or microphone without losing sound quality. Meanwhile, the built-in screen protector promotes touch sensitivity and clarity.
Although the OBEX is designed to completely protect the Samsung Galaxy S III- it still allows for easy accessibility for everyday use. The rubber silicone stoppers that are designed to keep external elements out of the headphone and USB ports are easy to remove when needed.
The OBEX comes with a holster fitted with spring clip lifts for easy access with the option to securely hold the S III in place with a locking mechanism. The adjustable swivel belt clip allows for seven rotating angles.
The OBEX case will be available in October. A price has yet to be determined. For more information please visit www.seidio.com/obex.
The OBEX line will also be available for other major smartphones in the next few months.
